Establish the decisions before the keys change hands
If a room is being leased, sold or prepared for a new occupant, identify who authorizes work and who chooses the finish. Confirm access during the transition and the date furniture or stock must arrive. A clear agreement prevents the installation plan from depending on unanswered ownership questions.
Describe the incoming business's activities, equipment and cleaning routine. An existing coating may have suited a different use. The new system should be assessed for the next operation rather than selected solely to make the room look freshly renovated.
Inspect the floor after the previous layout is removed
Old counters, shelving and partitions can leave untreated footprints, anchors and concealed damage. Photograph exposed areas and collect any available coating or repair records. Arrange assessment of the actual concrete before finalizing preparation assumptions.
Show cracks, stains, moisture history and transitions to flooring that will remain. Define suitable repairs and any separate building work. If the new layout changes the treatment boundaries, agree on those limits before the room is cleared for installation.
Make handover useful to the new user
Coordinate painting, fixture work and deliveries with the coating sequence. Confirm the milestones for walking, furniture and equipment under the installed system's instructions. Review the floor while its surface and edges are visible.
- Record the materials and treated areas on a simple plan.
- Identify any exclusions or outstanding items before move-in.
- Give the occupant the correct cleaning and care guidance.
- Retain the information with the property's maintenance records.
