Flooring requests from Ottawa and surrounding communities
Our Franklin County coverage includes Ottawa, Wellsville, Pomona, Williamsburg, Lane, Princeton, Rantoul and Richmond, along with properties outside city limits. Provide the business address and identify the particular room, bay or building to be assessed. A location within the county does not determine the coating specification.
For a receiving or storage project, describe what arrives at the property and where it goes afterward. An open floor measurement may omit thresholds, small connecting rooms and routes used to reach shelving. Include those areas in the initial sketch even when some will remain uncoated.
Define the perimeter and connecting surfaces
Mark the proposed stopping points at doors, adjoining flooring, fixed racks and equipment. Explain whether stored items or fixtures will be relocated before the project. A clear boundary helps establish which surface is being prepared and where the finished coating must meet an existing material.
Photograph damaged edges, uneven transitions and existing joints. Identify drains or changes to the room that are planned as part of other work. Discuss what belongs in the flooring scope and what requires separate attention; selecting a coating does not by itself define how every surrounding detail will be handled.
- Provide room measurements with doorways and fixed fixtures marked.
- Show the route from delivery access to the proposed work area.
- Identify surfaces that are excluded from the requested coating.
- List planned equipment or shelving changes before finish selection.
Distinguish storage from active working areas
Dry stored goods, frequently moved stock and a workbench area can involve different floor use. Describe carts, wheels, equipment and the materials handled in each. Include how often items move and where they are turned or set down, rather than labeling the entire space simply as storage.
Solid color epoxy is an option for a uniform appearance, while a flake finish provides a different visual treatment. If the property includes food preparation or restaurant service areas, assess those rooms around their own cleaning and exposure. Their floor requirements should not be inferred from the adjoining stockroom.
Prepare a request that can become a clear proposal
Include the current floor surface and any known coating failure, stains, cracks or moisture concerns. Discuss assessment before assuming the existing finish can be retained. The proposal should connect concrete preparation and suitable repairs to the system being considered, rather than list only a color and square footage.
Plan where inventory will go during the work and who can make the area accessible. Confirm which return-to-use milestones apply before bringing racks, equipment or regular deliveries back. Keep the final area plan and care guidance together so the maintained floor matches the scope that was approved.
