Coverage for Wichita and the surrounding county
Our Sedgwick County coverage includes Wichita and all the communities listed here, along with properties outside city limits. Derby, Maize, Goddard and Haysville also have individual project guides. Mulvane and the city of Sedgwick cross county boundaries; give the actual work-site address so the request identifies the right property.
A business with a showroom, storage room and workshop should describe each area separately. The total square footage is useful, but a room-by-room outline explains what the floor must do. Include shared entrances and corridors even when they are outside the proposed coating area.
Build a floor plan around operating zones
Mark customer paths, staff workstations, cart routes and equipment positions on a simple sketch. Identify where traffic turns, where items are set down and which sections become wet during use or cleaning. Those details help distinguish a decorative finish decision from the requirements of a working floor.
Compare solid color epoxy for a uniform appearance, flake for a multicolor finish and other resin systems where the exposure calls for them. A restaurant kitchen deserves its own assessment of water, grease, cleaning and equipment. The same color does not require the same coating build in every room.
Agree on what preparation includes
Show us existing paint, worn coatings, cracks, damaged edges and recurring stains. Explain any history of dampness or earlier coating failure. Photographs support the initial conversation; assessment of the concrete determines the preparation and suitable repairs to include in a proposal.
Review the boundaries of the work as carefully as the floor finish. Thresholds, adjoining surfaces, fixed equipment, drains and existing joints need decisions before installation. Identify any items being handled by another contractor so the flooring scope does not depend on an unassigned task.
- Name each room, its approximate size and its main use.
- List wheel types, equipment and materials that contact the floor.
- Identify who moves stock, fixtures and movable equipment.
- Separate desired completion from the dates each area must return to use.
Coordinate a usable handover
Ask whether the layout allows practical phases and what each phase would require. Keeping one room accessible may still be difficult if its only route crosses the work area. Discuss that route with the person responsible for daily operations before a schedule is agreed.
Before reopening, confirm the requirements for walking, moving equipment and routine cleaning for the selected system. Keep the finish information and care instructions with the facility records. This gives the people maintaining the space a clear starting point after the installation is complete.
