Make the first visit answer the right questions
For a property with several entrances or a separate work building, provide the exact address and identify the room to be coated. Send photographs of the approach, doorway and floor. Arrange for someone who knows the building and the intended use to be available.
Describe activities, likely spills and moving equipment before the visit. Include a rough plan and known history of coatings, repairs or dampness. These details help focus the assessment on material suitability, preparation and access rather than spending the visit locating the work area.
Confirm the practical installation conditions
Discuss available power, lighting and the building conditions that can be maintained during installation and curing. Identify locked gates, restricted work hours and where materials may be unloaded or stored. Do not assume an empty building automatically provides suitable working conditions.
Show fixed equipment and anything that narrows access to the concrete. Clarify who moves stored goods and whether other contractors need to finish work first. The estimate should identify those dependencies along with preparation, repair assumptions and the selected coating boundaries.
Set a handover that the operator can attend
Agree on who will inspect the finished floor and receive the product information. If the person approving the work is different from the person using the room, include both in the handover arrangements. A useful completion review covers transitions, agreed repairs and care instructions.
- Keep the work area clear through the required curing period.
- Confirm readiness for the actual furniture and equipment returning.
- Record excluded areas and any outstanding items before move-in.
- Store cleaning guidance where the building's regular users can find it.
