Define the visual brief in words as well as pictures
Reference photographs can communicate a direction, but they do not establish the exact materials, lighting or conditions behind an image. Explain whether you want a quiet backdrop, visible pattern or a more uniform color. Include wall colors, displays and the lighting planned for the finished space.
Identify the person who can approve the appearance and the practical requirements. A decorative choice should not be finalized separately from texture, cleaning or exposure. Discuss what variation is expected from the proposed system rather than treating another room's photograph as a guaranteed result.
Review a sample in the intended setting
Ask how samples or a proposed mockup will be used to record the selection. View the finish under relevant lighting and beside representative materials where possible. Agree what the approval demonstrates and what it cannot predict about a larger floor.
Metallic resin and flake offer different visual effects; neither description removes the need to discuss suitability. If the desired look depends on a particular coating build or technique, make that part of the written scope. Keep the approved reference with the project record.
Bring the display layout into preparation planning
Show fixed showcases, plinths and movable displays, including the floor beneath them. Identify what can be removed so preparation is not limited to the currently visible area. If a display may move later, an unfinished footprint could become part of the public room.
- Mark the coating boundary at windows, doors and adjoining finishes.
- Identify previous paint, repairs or adhesive beneath displays.
- Coordinate deliveries and fixture installation around curing milestones.
- Discuss protection for the surface when the room is dressed.
Choose a finish the team can maintain
Ask how the preferred texture and appearance fit the business's cleaning routine. Retain the installed system details and care instructions, including guidance for movable displays and their contact points. The room should be ready for normal setup and maintenance as well as its opening-day presentation.
