Translate the booking calendar into room availability
If customers use individual service rooms, explain which rooms can close together and whether reception must remain open. List those activities so the available work window reflects the business's real needs.
Identify whether appointments could move to another room or require a full closure. Do not promise customers a reopening date based only on application time. Preparation, repairs and curing must be included, with separate milestones for staff setup and normal customer use.
Review cleaning products before selecting the surface
Supply the names and instructions for cleaners or other substances routinely used in the room. Explain how frequently the floor is cleaned and whether liquids can remain on it. The system should be evaluated for that exposure rather than chosen solely for a bright or seamless-looking appearance.
If the business has facility standards or regulated operating requirements, provide them to the appropriate decision-makers. A coating is not an assurance of compliance. Product suitability, floor-wall details and the wider facility arrangements may need separate confirmation before the specification is accepted.
Plan the move out and the setup period
Record the furniture and equipment that must be relocated, including items connected to power, water or other services. Assign responsibility for disconnection and reinstatement where another trade is needed. Moving the contents into the next room is useful only if that room remains accessible and suitable for storage.
- Photograph fixed fixtures and the floor around them.
- Confirm where preparation and coating should stop at doorways.
- List any areas hidden beneath heavy furniture during assessment.
- Allow time for cleaning, setup and checks before the next appointment.
Balance appearance with the daily routine
Review samples under the lighting used during business hours. Discuss gloss, texture and color in relation to cleaning and movement of chairs or carts. Solid color and decorative flake may offer different looks for appropriate spaces; the final choice should follow the room's demands and include the care instructions staff will use.
